Materials

• 1 skein of worsted weight yarn
• US size 7 (4.5mm) knitting needles
• Yarn needle
• Pompom maker (optional)

Gauge

• 20 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Instructions

Cast On

1. Cast on 96 stitches using the long tail cast on method.

Ribbing

1. Knit 2, purl 2 for 6 inches.

Decreasing

1. Decrease 12 stitches evenly across the next row. (K2, k2tog, repeat 11 times)
